One new cigar box guitar tool with extra long shaft file set for easy nut or bridge slotting and filing.
This is a handy set of round files and note originally not intended for guitars but cleaning the tips of gas welders, But are absolutely perfect for filing string slots into nuts and bridges for cigar box guitars!
It can make your strings sit perfectly with the action as low as you wish. The cutting surface of the largest and smallest files is a series of concentric “grooves” around the file that provide the cut.
The circular files fold out from the aluminium casing and include all the following sizes so even if you have a guitar with hefty strings tuned down to Low C this file will cut the string groove for it.
13 round files in the set in the following approximate sizes: 0.3mm, 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.7mm, 0.8mm, 0.8mm, 0.9mm, 1mm, 1.1mm, 1.2mm, 1.3mm, 1.4mm, 1.6mm
Recommended use is for wood and bone, and soft metals such as brass, copper or aluminum only and will not work on graphite nuts.
Please note this is NOT a professional grade nut file tool that will cost you a lot of money, BUT it is perfect for the average guitarist and home builder to successfully file and adjust a few plastic top nuts.
